Its time to reflect on the past 12 months and to start thinking about what you want to achieve in 2017. Here’s our top tips for making the most of your new year!

1. Set achievable goals

Setting something to work towards increases your chance of success. It also gives you something to measure your progress on. Its wise to make just 1 goal and then think about mini sub goals on how your going to get there.

2. “Don’t expect a change, if you don’t”

Imagine your new self – what do you look like? how do you feel? what do people around you say? In order to reach your goal you must be motivated and determined and always have the end goal in sight.

3. Buddy up

Set your goals with family or friends so that you can do it together. Encouraging and supporting each other will help when your having a down day and keep you on track.

4. Write it down

Writing it down and putting it somewhere you can see it will keep you focused. Think about a place you will see everyday – perhaps next to your toothbrush or kettle.

5. Act now

The hardest part of any journey is starting it. Avoid the trap of “starting from Monday” New years day this year lands on a Sunday so it could be a good idea to start then. In order to reach your goals successfully you need to start as you mean to go on, Good luck!
