My life before WLS
Before surgery, I was 18 stone and a dress size 22–24. At 5 ft 4″, I was very heavy for my height. I was always tired, wasn’t active and got pains now and again. I was always in and out of hospital and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
My Tonic experience
The aftercare and service offered at Tonic was very, very good.
Life after surgery
I’m now able to do most things, which I never thought I would be. I’m back at work full-time and I don’t feel stressed or depressed. I’m happier than before and I enjoy getting dressed up.
I have lost over 9 stone and am now 9 stone and a dress size 8–10, which is perfect for my height.
I would say to anyone considering surgery that it is not an easy journey, but if you really want to do it for yourself and for your loved ones, go for it. It may be hard, but at the end of the day, you will be happy. And if you’re single, you might find your Mr/Mrs Right!
