Life before surgery – 

Before I went for surgery, everyone used to think I was a really confident person but actually I wasn’t. My friend had a gastric sleeve and, quite quickly, I noticed a drastic difference in her weight. She said she had had a gastric sleeve with Tonic, so I researched Tonic and spoke to them directly. They were really lovely, like a little family team.

My Tonic experience –   

I had a gastric sleeve with Tonic and I’ve lost six stone. I’ve gone down from a size 24 to a size 14.

When I first arrived for surgery, I met with my surgeon, Mr Awad, who is really down to earth. He’s just like a friend. He went through everything step by step, made me feel comfortable for surgery and I really felt at ease in the hospital with the surgeon and the staff.

When I got home, I thought I would be recovering for a while but actually it was really quick. I rested for one day, but the next day I was up doing my usual things. After my surgery, I had the vitamins VitMyLife, Tonic’s own brand of multivitamins. This gave me the confidence that I was still having all the right nutrients I needed every single day.

Life after surgery – 

Having the surgery has made a massive difference to my life. I can now fit into smaller clothes. I’m really grateful to Tonic for everything they have done for me and my new life.
