Hannah’s Weight Loss Story

Life before surgery – 

I weighed 20.5 stone and was a dress size 22. I could manage daily activities but I felt sluggish and my body ached. Getting on the floor to play with kids or change children was painful and so much effort. I really lacked confidence and self esteem. I tried so many different weight loss programmes. There isn’t many that you could name that I haven’t tried.

My Tonic experience –

I had the gastric sleeve surgery. The experience was very informative. The team let me know what they advised I wasn’t hassled and I didn’t feel pressured. My surgeon was fantastic. A very cool calm and collected man that you could instantly tell how at ease he was like the surgery was second nature for him to perform. I started with daily calls from the nurses then after a week I had weekly calls. I did require some extra calls but that wasn’t any trouble even late at night to ease my mind.

Life after surgery –

So far I’ve lost 8 stone 11lbs. I feel so much more confident. I enjoy making Tiktok’s and doing dance videos for people to see which I was always self conscious of before. Everyone has noticed a difference in me. I’ve changed my job and I’m going up the ladder in my career which I didn’t have the energy for before. I play with the children (football, bike rides) we all love doing hand stands and cartwheels now and I love showing my 2 girls to be confident in themselves. Having the surgery has brought me out of my shell.
