Life before surgery –
Before surgery I weighed 19st 6lb, had poor self-esteem, didn’t really go anywhere on my own and found exercise difficult.
My Tonic experience –
Having the Gastric Sleeve surgery through Tonic was a really smooth process and Mr Alkhaffaf is so lovely. 20 months on I still get monthly emails to check whether I need anything and the Facebook group is really helpful.
Life after surgery –
I recently went shopping on my own, sat in a coffee shop and people-watched – something I wouldn’t have done before the surgery. I’ve now lost 8 ½ stone and my life pretty much revolves around health, well-being and fitness. But being able to buy clothes from anywhere is kind of dangerous for my bank balance!
